OpenCode Goal Plugin
OpenCode Goal Plugin is an independent project under the MIT license, published
on npm as @prevalentware/opencode-goal-plugin and maintained by prevalentWare.
It is not part of Maestria. It is currently pre-1.0 (0.1.x) and actively
maintained.
What It Is
Section titled “What It Is”OpenCode Goal Plugin adds Codex-style long-running goal mode to OpenCode. It
provides a /goal slash command, persistent goal state for the session,
completion-evidence tracking, idle continuation, and a terminal UI goal
indicator.
With the plugin installed, a session keeps working toward one explicit objective until it is complete, blocked, or cleared.
Why Use It With Maestria
Section titled “Why Use It With Maestria”Maestria’s orchestrator follows a continuation policy: the session owns progress toward one explicit outcome until it reaches its terminal artifact. OpenCode Goal Plugin expresses a similar contract at the runtime level through goal state, completion evidence, and idle continuation.
The two projects are independent but complementary. Maestria’s directives are host-agnostic: goal lifecycle tools, when present, belong to the host runtime. Maestria neither requires nor activates this plugin.
Installation

Section titled “Quick Start”Start an OpenCode session as usual and set an objective with the /goal
command. The session keeps working toward that objective until it is complete,
blocked, or you clear it.
